2017 wines are bottled!

Yesterday, May 7 we bottled all of our 2017 wines. The final totals are:

74 cases Montepulciano

34 cases Peloursin

50 cases Sangiovese

49 cases Tempranillo

24 cases Teroldego

All are from Lodi Rules Certified Green winegrapes. They'll need to rest a bit to recover from bottle shock, although since they weren't filtered at bottling that should be an easier recovery.

William and I were on the bottling crew so I can say we had our hands on every single bottle. My job was putting empty bottles onto the filler, so I was the closest to the open wine, and every lot had wonderful, distinct aromatics. We'll open a bottle in a couple weeks and evaluate when we might release these. My impressions from barrel tasting is that Montepulciano, Peloursin, and Teroldego, which are fruit-forward Lodi wines, might be soon-ish, and Sangiovese and Tempranillo, being more old-world structured wines, may need several months of bottle age.

We'll have more information as the release of these wines approaches. If you haven't already joined our email list, there is a link at the bottom of the front page. We'll post updates on our Facebook Drava Wines page, on Instagram and Twitter @DravaWines.

Na zdravje!

-Steve and William
